Altera Publishing House was established in 2005.

Our publishing strategy is focused mainly on presentation of Bulgarian and world fiction.

Amongst our most successful titles are novels by John Banville, Iris Murdoch, Philip Roth, E. L. Doctorow, Olga Tokarczuk, Angela Carter, Don DeLillo, Milorad Pavic, etc.

The titles of Altera have been awarded many national and international prizes: The Annual Award for a novel of the year - VICK; The Annual Award for best literary translation from English "Krustan Dyankov" (Elizabeth Kostova Foundation); The Award of PEN Translation Fund, etc.
